Aftermark, when it launches. Every feature described below, on as many of your own computers as you personally use.
A 30-day free trial is planned. No card is needed to start it. When the 30 days end, the trial ends and nobody is charged unless they subscribe.
How renewal works. The monthly plan renews automatically each month until you cancel. The yearly plan renews automatically each year. You can switch that off at checkout or at any time afterwards, and we'll email you about 30 days before each yearly renewal with the date, the amount and how to cancel. You can cancel either plan online in a minute, using the link in your Paddle receipt or at paddle.net. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

What you will get at launch
A single download that will run on your own Windows computer. No installer to fight, no account to create, no runtime to configure — it will use only what Python already ships with, and start by double-clicking one file. None of this is available to download today.

What will not be included
- Market data. Aftermark will ship with no data and no API keys. Live quotes and news need your own key from a provider you sign up with directly.
- Wash-sale detection. Aftermark is not tax software.
- A hosted version or a mobile app. It will run on your computer, and only on your computer.
- An obligation to support. We answer email and we intend to keep improving it, but the licence does not promise support, updates or maintenance. We would rather say that here than imply otherwise.
Aftermark is independent record-keeping software from Sloth Trading LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Charles Schwab, Webull, moomoo, Robinhood, or any other broker. All trademarks belong to their owners. Aftermark does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice, and its reports are not a substitute for your broker's official tax documents.
The Schwab connection will expire every 7 days. Schwab's API requires a fresh sign-in each week and provides no way for software to renew it automatically. Aftermark will show the days remaining and give you a one-click reconnect, but you will do that roughly once a week for as long as you use it. The CSV path has no such limit.
Refunds
The 30-day trial is free, and no card is needed. If you subscribe, you get a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid charge, and on each yearly renewal charge. Monthly renewals aren't refunded, but you can cancel any time to stop future charges. Details are in the refund policy. Sales aren't open yet, so there's nothing to refund today.
